There will be no water supply in some areas of the city from 10 am on July 16 to 10 am on July 18.
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has proposed to shift the water pipeline at EVR Salai-Whanels Road Junction. This enables the Highways Department to construct box culverts across the road connecting the existing storm water drainage on either side of the EVR Salai to avoid floods during monsoon.
Vepery, Periamet, Park Town, Chintadripet, Egmore, Kondithop, Saucarpet, Georgetown, Broadway, Pudupet, Triplicane, Perambur, Pulianthope, Nammalvarpet, Purasavalakam, Sembium, Otteri, Kelly, Ayanavaram, Kilpauk Garden, Chetpet, Water supply to TP And Villivakkam will be disrupted.
Residents are requested to store sufficient quantity of water in advance. They can also contact field engineers for mobile water supply for urgent requirements.
