WB HS result 2022 declared: Adisha Debsharma ranks first, meet topper

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (WBCHSE) declared the results of class 12 or higher secondary (HS) examinations today, June 10. This year, 88.44 per cent students who took the exam have cleared it. It is huge as compared to last year when 97.89 percent students pass WB HS 12th Higher Secondary result.

Stream-wise, last year 99.28 per cent students cleared the exam in the science stream. The pass percentage in commerce and arts in 2021 was 99.8 and 97.39 percent respectively.

Those who appeared in the West Bengal HS examinations in 2022 can check their results on the official websites wbresults.nic.in and wbchse.nic.in. Students can also check their scores on News18.com. Students have to use their login credentials including date of birth and roll number to view their mark sheet. Even though the result was declared at 11 am, the check marks link will be available only around noon. Once the result is available for the students, they can fill the form given below and check their result –

WB HS Exam 2022: Toppers of previous years

The West Bengal Board did not release the merit list in the last two years. It is after two years that the board is announcing the toppers and for this year the top ranks have been secured by the following students –

Rank 1: Adisha Debsharma

Rank 2: Shayandeep

Rank 3 is shared by four students with 99.2 per cent marks.

A total of 272 students have secured the same or similar marks in the top 10.

Last time when the merit list was released in 2019, the topper list was as follows-

Rank 1: Shobhan Mandal and Rajarshi Burman both made 498. secured first place by scoring

Rank 1: Granthan Sengupta scored a total of 496 marks to get the top rank in 2018

Rank 1: In 2017, Archisman Panigrahi topped with 99.2 per cent marks.

To pass the exam, students need to score at least 30 percent marks in each subject as well as in aggregate. Students will not only get marks but also grades for their performance. Those obtaining Grade D or below will have to take the exam in the form of compartment paper.

Students scoring between 80 to 100 will get an A+ grade. The rest of the grading system will be as follows: A grade will be given for marks ranging from 79 to 60; B grade for marks between 59 to 45; C grade for marks between 44 to 30 and D (disqualified) grade for marks below 30.
