WB teaching job aspirant claims policeman cut him while protesting, filed complaint

West Bengal teaching job aspirants have been protesting for a long time after the SSC scam was exposed in the state. One of the TET protesters had recently filed a complaint claiming that a policeman bit him while protesting. The complaint was made on Camac Street on Wednesday. Reportedly, one of the TET protesters was bitten in the arm by a woman policeman. However, the accused policeman has denied all the allegations against him.

Complaint filed by Arunima Pal, 2014 TET pass candidate. However, the policeman denied the allegations. On the contrary, the complainant Arunima Pal has been accused by the police of biting a woman policeman. However, Arunima has claimed that the allegation is false.

On Wednesday, along with other job seekers, Arunima also sat on a dharna outside Abhishek Banerjee’s office on Camac Street. The job seekers who cleared TET 2014 were divided into several groups and they were protesting. A group of them allegedly tried to contact the office of Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee on Camac Street. He claimed that he was going to hand over a memorandum to Banerjee. However, before that the policemen stopped them.

The police tried to disperse the protesters by dragging them away. An attempt was also made to take them to the jail van. Meanwhile, an agitator started assaulting women policemen and Arunima Pal. Arunima, a resident of Baduria in North 24 Parganas, was allegedly bitten by a woman policeman wearing a T-shirt in her hand.

Arunima was arrested along with others and taken to Hare Street police station. Arunima was taken to the Calcutta Medical College emergency department at night for a medical examination following a complaint by a woman policeman. While being taken to the hospital, Arunima said, ‘People have become cruel. Otherwise no one can cut my hand like this.’

Meanwhile, job seekers again started dharna outside Sealdah station in the night. The police forcefully removed the protesters from there. Many people were also arrested, while some job seekers were not allowed to protest.
