The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released a set of guidelines for the Class 12 practical examinations in 2024. On December 1, the board is scheduled to begin conducting the class 12 higher secondary practical examinations which will go on until December 15. The council will release the question papers and blank answer scripts to the schools from the distribution facilities on November 29 in accordance with the board’s instructions. The guidelines and prerequisites for the practical test and project submission can be viewed here for students who will be taking the practical tests in 2024.

West Bengal Board Class 12 Practical Exam Guidelines

–– Individuals who have already cleared the practical test in the preceding year are exempt from taking it again.

–– As authorised by the Council, each school will administer the practical tests, which will include music (MUSC), health and physical education (PHED), and only the teacher in charge of the relevant subject will administer the tests.

—– Teachers from nearby schools may be assigned to conduct the practical test in the event that a teacher from the concerned institution is unavailable. Nonetheless, the school has to ask the relevant Council Regional Office for clearance before moving forward.

–– Following the evaluation, the signature of the concerned examiner on the practical response script is required.

–– The assessed practical response scripts must remain in the possession of the relevant Institution Head until further directives are given. They are not required to be presented to the council. The council will gather all the response scripts as needed.

—– Between December 4 and December 31, 2023, the practical and project marks must be submitted online to the council. All educational institutions must use their user ID and password to access the council’s online portal and submit the students’ projects and practical grades.

The West Bengal Class 12 examinations are slated to take place from February 16 to February 29, 2024, according to the schedule. The West Bengal board examination will begin at 12 pm and wrap up at 3 pm. On the other hand, examinations for students taking subjects like health and physical education, music, visual arts, and vocational subjects will last only two hours, from 12 pm to 2 pm.
