The clip posted on the official Twitter handle of the production banner of the star’s namesake has led some to speculate that the actor was apologizing for the box office loss of his latest film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.

“We are all human beings and make mistakes,” Aamir Khan Productions said in a statement on Thursday.

The 27-second clip posted on the official Twitter handle of the production banner bearing the superstar’s name has led some to speculate that the actor is apologizing for the box office loss. His latest movie “Lal Singh Chaddha”.

But that didn’t seem to be happening.

The post appeared as a slideshow of text with a voiceover, not Amir, reading it. It begins with “Michami Dukkadam”, an ancient Indian idiom that translates to “let all evil that has been done be in vain”.

“We are all human and make mistakes. Sometimes with our words, sometimes by our actions, sometimes without knowing and sometimes when we are angry.

The message read, “We hurt people with our jokes and sometimes even without talking. If I have hurt your feelings in any way, I apologize to you with all my heart, promise and being Am.”

Samvatsari is the last day of the annual Paryushan festival. On this day people of Jain community ask forgiveness from all living beings for any mistake done intentionally or unintentionally.

The Twitter post was deleted and re-shared, correcting a typo a second time, in which one went ‘crazy’ instead of ‘crazy’. The theme music of Shah Rukh Khan’s “Kal Ho Na No” plays in the background.

“Lal Singh Chaddha”, which battled boycott calls, stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh, released on August 10 along with Akshay Kumar’s “Raksha Bandhan”.
