The primary ingredient used in making homemade protein bars was rajgira or amaranth. The celebrity nutritionist suggests using quinoa for this recipe as well. Sharing the video for the easy, high-protein bar, Pooja Makhija wrote, “Anyone can use quinoa in this recipe but I’ve used a local cheap couscous called rajgira or amaranth. In the video of High Protein Bar, Pooja Makhija first roasts amaranth seeds till they turn golden-brown. Thereafter, he made a paste out of dates and water. The high-protein bar was then laid out on a tray and frozen overnight, and enjoyed when hungry.
