Kolkata: Exams of West BengalThe board of class 10 and 12 will be conducted in offline mode in March and April respectively next year COVID-19 The security protocols, senior officials of the boards announced at a joint press conference on Monday.
Departing from tradition, Class 12 students will take the exam in their respective schools.
NS West Bengal Board of secondary education (WBBSE) President Kalyanmoy Ganguly said ‘secondaryThe 10th class examination will be held from 7 to 16 March at around 4800 places.
The 12th class examination ‘Higher Secondary’ will be held from April 2 to 20. West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSEPresident Chiranjeeb Bhattacharya said.
“As of now, we are hopeful that the exam will be conducted in offline mode. If there is any change in the Covid situation, we will take a decision accordingly. We have a plan B ready. But, as of now we are moving ahead. announced the programme,” Bhattacharya said in response to a question and Ganguly echoed that.
While the ‘Higher Secondary’ examination will be conducted at the ‘Home Centre’, the respective schools of the students, the ‘Secondary’ examination will be conducted as usual in other schools under WBBSE.
Ganguly said the number of examinees in class 10 is much more than in class 12, so it will not be possible for the authorities to follow the Covid-19 safety guidelines.
When asked if there is less time for the students to prepare, the WBCHSE chairman said, “Maybe. But we assume that they must be preparing already in consultation with their teachers.”
‘Medium’ and ‘Higher Secondary’ examinations were not conducted in the state this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The results were declared after the board worked out the evaluation methods based on the marks obtained by a student in the previous examinations.
