West Bengal government announces various benefits for state police officers

On the eve of State Police Day, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that the state government has decided to increase the upper age limit for the recruitment of police constables from 27 years to 30 years.

He said that this decision has been taken to give relaxation in age and physical measurement to the kin of police personnel in the exempted category in appointment on compassionate grounds.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also announced that civil volunteers, village police, home guards and civil defense personnel will be eligible for promotion and will be given relaxation in upper age limit up to 35 years and relaxation in physical measurement during promotion. Constable post.

He also announced promotion, uniform allowance, compensatory appointment for state police officers in several categories.

He said that this would benefit many police personnel.
