His struggles, unwavering determination and dedication serve as an inspiration to many.

Sudeep Maiti hails from Panskura, Purba Medinipur in West Bengal. He is a resident of Mohammad Murad Maiti colony which falls under Purushottampur village panchayat of Panskura. He lives in a hut made of triple-canopy. His father, Govinda Maiti was once a mason by profession but has been sick for a very long time. While he may have built homes for others, due to his sickness, he could not make one for himself. Hence, his wife and Sudeep’s mother, Nilima Devi stood beside the family like a rock and took to making beedis to run the family.

She also got two of her daughters married. Meanwhile, they did not have the provision of staying in the government housing scheme as well. In an unexpected and surprising turn of events, Sudeep Maiti got a call from the Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO) which left his relatives, neighbours and residents quite happy for the talented student.

Sudeep Maiti studied at the village school of Chak Durga Primary School and was a brilliant student. He pursued a Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic College, Sealdah and passed with 70% marks in Class 12 from Purvachilka Lalchand High School in the Science stream. After that, he completed his B.Tech from a private college in Kolkata and is currently studying M. Tech at IIT Guwahati.

The bright student had just one goal, which was to join DRDO and work on the national security of the country. He finally got the golden opportunity to work as a junior researcher as a part of the fellowship in DRDO, Dehradun.
