Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials questioned the former West Bengal minister on 7 November paresh officer in relation to a teacher recruitment scam,

Agency sources said Mr Adhikari, who was earlier questioned by the CBI in the same case, arrived at the CGO premises of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kolkata in the morning to face questioning.

Calcutta High Court Earlier this year, Ankita had been sacked from her job and asked to refund the salary she had received as a teacher since 2018. In August, during a cabinet reshuffle by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Mr Adhikari was removed from his ministry.

On an order of the Calcutta High Court, both the CBI and the ED are currently probing the multi-crore recruitment scam involving the West Bengal School Service Commission.
