In reply, the Irish set up well at 165-1, with captain Andy Balbirnie scoring 71 and Harry Tector scoring 53.

However, once they fell in the space of eight balls, the required run-rate fell and West Indies claimed a crucial early victory in a series that is part of the qualifying route for the 2023 World Cup.

Romario Shepherd finished with 3-50, including the main wicket of Balbirnie, while Alzarri Joseph claimed 3-55.
