Former captain Holder missed out on a 3-0 series loss against Bangladesh in Guyana as the selectors wanted to manage his workload as one of the West Indies’ all-format players.
“As we all know Jason is one of the leading all-rounder cricketers in the world and we are happy to have him back in the team,” the chief selector said. Desmond Haynes,
“He will be refreshed, re-energized and ready to go and we can expect to see his talent on the field as well as meaningful contributions off the field.”
Haynes said: “We had three very challenging matches against Bangladesh. We need to regroup and play better against India.”
All three matches will be played on Friday, Sunday and Wednesday 27 July at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.
