What is dyspraxia? Do you have any of these symptoms?

Dyspraxia is a common neurological or neurological disorder that affects movement and coordination. People with dyspraxia face problems with everything that requires coordination. For example, learning to play a game or drive a car. It doesn’t affect your intelligence, but it does affect your fine motor skills which may include writing or using small objects.

This disorder affects a person’s ability to move smoothly and easily. Sometimes if the baby is born prematurely, the chances of the baby developing this disorder are high. Studies also show that dyspraxia is more common in men than women.

Are you suffering from dyspraxia?

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) website describes some of the symptoms of this disorder. It can have different effects on different people and varies over time. Due to this disease a person may have to face many problems. Some of them are listed below.

– Problems with coordination, balance and movement

– Problems learning a new thing, including remembering information

— daily routine issues, such as getting dressed or cooking

– Problems with writing, using the keyboard, and placing small objects

– Social awkwardness or lack of confidence and difficulty dealing with emotions

– Poor time management and organizational skills

— Some may also suffer from memory, perception and processing conditions

There is no cure for dyspraxia but therapy helps people deal with the problems they face in daily life. Occupational therapy is used to find ways to enable a person to be independent and to perform daily tasks such as writing or cooking. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) called talking therapy is used to help people change the way they think and behave, and to start managing their problems.

Get regular exercise to stay fit and healthy, use a laptop or computer if you have trouble writing, use a calendar, dairy or PP to organize things, and positive thinking can help. It is not uncommon for someone with dyspraxia to suffer from other issues such as ADH, autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, dyscalculia and dyslexia.
