Lucknow: Bench of Lucknow Allahabad High Court has asked Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) what provision has been made to ensure water supply For industries established in your area.
It also asked GNIDA how industries are getting water across the Industrial Area, It fixed November 23 as the next date of hearing in the matter.
a bench of Justice Vivek Choudhary Order passed on a writ petition Supertech Precast Technologies private Limited. The petitioner has challenged the recovery order issued against the petitioner for failing to deposit the rent against the lease of land executed in his favor for running the industry in the GNIDA area.
It was submitted that the petitioner could not run the industry as water was not being supplied to him for industrial use. The petitioner’s counsel Abhishek Khare argued, “In such situations, it is completely arbitrary to compel the petitioner company to pay the rent against the leased land.”
The petitioner further argued that he had also presented his complaint to the State Government but he turned his back on saying that the authority provides the STP water and the petitioner should avail the water from him after paying the fee.
While considering the matter, the bench was of the prima facie view that if water is not supplied to the industries for running the industries, the purpose of taking land on lease from GNIDA would be defeated.
