The role will once again be reprized by actor Utkarsh Sharma, who will play an Indian soldier. If reports are to be believed then the story will take a leap of 20 years revolving around the India-Pakistan war in 1970. This time Tara Singh will cross the border not for his beloved wife Sakina but to save his son’s life.
Apart from the unforgettable love story, Gadar was also praised as a masterpiece for its intense action sequences. Late veteran actor Amrish Puri, who played Saxena’s strict father Ashraf Ali, was the primary villain in the film. However, this time Gadar 2 will see not one but two antagonists.

Sunny Deol aka Tara Singh will be seen fighting these two enemies in the film.
While Gadar was made on a mere budget of Rs 19 crore, Gadar 2 is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crore. Tighten your seat belts to watch the amazing action sequences in the movie. In the previous film where Sunny Deol was seen uprooting a handpump with his bare hands, this time, as per the now deleted Twitter video, the actor will be seen breaking a cement pillar.
Gadar 2 will also feature Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa and Rohit Choudhary apart from Simrat Kaur, Gaurav Chopra, Mir Sarwar, Anil George and Luv Sinha in key roles. The adventure-action drama will hit the theaters on August 11 this year.
