What will it take for COP27 to succeed?

COP27, the latest edition of the annual climate change conference, began in Egypt on Sunday. COP is the acronym for Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which has brought together world leaders for three decades to come to a consensus on fighting the greatest challenge of our time. On the agenda is reforming plans to reduce the damage and loss caused by emissions, extreme weather events and climate change. The promises made by wealthy countries for climate action will again be the subject of controversy. Over 30,000 delegates from over 190 countries are participating.
