WhatsApp extends the time limit to delete messages

New Delhi: WhatsApp has the ability to delete messages after they have been sent. However, this feature is only available for messages that are an hour or more old. This is an increase from the initial 8 minute limit that WhatsApp gave to users to delete their communication. However, the company is now expanding the limit to allow customers to delete messages older than two days.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has extended the time limit for deleting messages by 2 days and 12 hours for some users on the current beta version of the app 2.22.15.8. This is much more than the current time limit of one hour, eight minutes and sixteen seconds that users have for ditching messages for all. Since WhatsApp allows rival Telegram users to delete communications after 48 hours, the instant messaging software owned by Meta is trying to gain 12 hours over Telegram.
