WhatsApp Testing Shortcut Lets You Quickly Forward Stickers

WhatsApp has started testing a new shortcut so that users can quickly forward stickers to their contacts. The change is initially implemented for beta testers on Android, though it may reach the public in the coming days. Days after WhatsApp introduced a custom sticker maker for its desktop and web users, allowing them to easily create new stickers. Meta-owned instant messaging app (formally called Facebook) is using stickers as one of the key sources to allow individuals to express themselves using short visuals. It also allowed third parties to create stickers for the app.

As spotty Feature Tracker WABetaInfo by WhatsApp, whatsapp for android Beta version 2.21.2.4.11 brings dedicated shortcuts for users to quickly forward stickers. It also appeared to some beta testers on previous versions. Gadgets 360 was recently able to see the update on WhatsApp beta.

The Forward shortcut sits next to your sticker in your message thread so you can quickly share with others WhatsApp, You have to tap on the shortcut and then select the contact with whom you want to share your sticker. This cuts down to the normal process where you need to tap and hold a sticker and then hit the forward button from the top bar to share it with your contacts.

WhatsApp already has a forward shortcut for images that works in a similar manner and helps you quickly share the images you have in your threads.

After enrolling as a tester for WhatsApp you can check for updates by downloading the latest WhatsApp for Android beta version Google Play Beta Testing Program, Alternatively, you can view the changes by sideloading apk file Beta version from APK Mirror.

WhatsApp introduced Stickers back to their platform in October 2018. Since then, the messaging app has come with a list of updates so that people can easily and more actively share stickers on the platform.
