Adah Sharma made her acting debut in Hindi cinema in 2008 with Vikram Bhatt’s horror film 1920.

Actress Adah Sharma made her acting debut in Hindi cinema in 2008 with Vikram Bhatt’s horror film 1920. The film was not only a hit in the year of its release, but was also considered one of the scariest films made in Bollywood. Recently, the actress grabbed the nation’s attention for making headlines with the controversial film The Kerala Story, which is running successfully at the box office.

Recently, an old interview of Adah has resurfaced on the internet, where she asked the audience to wear diapers while watching her debut film, as it was very scary.

In one of her 2008 interviews, Adah spoke with Filmbeat and mentioned that the audience should wear a diaper and then watch the film. “Yeah I mean it. Please put on your diapers and go see the movie (laughs),” she said.

The actress has been in discussion for the past few days about her latest release The Kerala Story. The film came under controversy after its trailer claimed that around 32,000 girls were converted to Islam and recruited by the terrorist group ISIS. Although the makers later changed this number to three. While some called it a “propaganda film”, others appreciated the Sudipto Sen-directed film.

The film has been declared tax free in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, the West Bengal government has banned the release of the film in the state citing law and order situation. After the makers of Kerala Story challenged the ban in the state, the Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the West Bengal government seeking clarification on the ban.

A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha said the film “sees no reason to ban its screening” as it is being screened in the rest of the country. The SC also asked the Tamil Nadu government to specify all measures taken to provide security at cinema halls for the screening of the film.

As per the recent film trade analysts, the film is inching closer to Rs 100 crore at the box office.
