Covaxin is one of three vaccines being administered in the country. The drug regulator in the country has given Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to Moderna & Johnson & Johnson.
Meanwhile, Bharat Biotech said it is exploring opportunities with its international partners, who have expertise in commercial-scale manufacturing of inactivated viral vaccines.
“We want to ensure that India can fully meet the demand for biotech COVAXIN, so that people in the country and around the world have access to the vaccine,” Krishna Ella, chairman and managing director, said in a statement.
