‘Who is Pakistan’s biggest enemy – India or Taliban?’: Senior Pak journalist exposes his country’s downfall

For the past seven decades, India and Pakistan have behaved like arch rivals. However, Pakistan, which has been sponsoring terrorism against India, is now slowly realizing that it has shot itself in the leg by exporting terrorism. Pakistan’s economy is faltering, its military is under threat from the Taliban and dwindling foreign exchange reserves and a shortage of dollar bills have made it difficult for the nation to get customs-released goods. Senior Pakistani journalist Wusat Ullah Khan today exposed his country’s policies in a video blog for the BBC.

He said that Pakistan today was facing many problems including erratic monsoon, economic crisis, terrorist attacks by Taliban, election-seeking Imran Khan and depleting forex reserves. Wusat Ullah Khan said that the Shahbaz Sharif government does not know how to deal with these crises.

“Foreign exchange reserves have come down from $16 billion to $5 billion. There are not enough dollars to clear customs duty on goods lying in port warehouses… just like a mother comforting her children that Father will bring food. When he arrives, similarly the government has nothing but complacency, as it says that if the IMF, China and Saudi Arabia deposit more dollars in the country’s coffers, the economy will get a breather for a few days. ,

Underlining the adverse impact of terrorism, he said that while India and Iran are already considered enemies, Afghanistan too has now raised its voice against Pakistan.

In Pakistan for 75 years everyone has been told that India is the biggest enemy, but now when it is being told that Taliban is also our biggest enemy, then it is hard to believe for a mind that has been on the same path for 75 years Its difficult. Although the number of soldiers who died in all the wars with India is about 20 thousand, while according to the government of Pakistan more than 70 thousand civilians and soldiers have been killed by Taliban terrorists, still the heart is not ready to accept. He said that terrorism is hollowing out the country from inside, not any foreign country.

Khan remarked that the Pakistan government is considering whether it should declare the Taliban as the biggest threat or continue to treat them as spoiled brats.

It may be recalled that in the past the Government of Pakistan has often supported the Taliban and is now finding it difficult to get rid of the evil called terrorism which it has harbored for decades.
