Why hinder Telangana’s development, Harish asks Governor

Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao lashed out at Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and the BJP at the Center alleging that it was stalling development in Telangana by using the governor’s system.

“As the son of the soil, I am questioning the Governor that why is she obstructing the development in Telangana?” asked Mr Harish Rao while attending a party meeting held in Gajwel assembly constituency, which is being represented by BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Tuesday. Asserting that he has every right to question as an agitator for the formation of a separate Telangana state, Shri Harish Rao said that the Governor not giving assent to the Bills is nothing but political harassment and is not tolerable. He alleged that the Center was using the ED, CBI and Income Tax departments to harass political opponents.

Accusing the Governor of stalling the Forest University Bill also, the minister said that under the BJP rule, instead of coming into the country, the country’s money has been going out.

Referring to the development work done in Gajwel, Shri Harish Rao said that earlier media persons from abroad used to come to record the suicides of farmers and now they are coming to report the development, which was a complete change under the leadership of Shri Chandrasekhar. Rao. He called upon the party workers to have an open discussion on the developments that took place after the formation of Telangana State under the leadership of Shri Chandrasekhar Rao.

Participating in Siddipet earlier in the day, Shri Harish Rao said that the party president has rewritten history by completing the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KILS) in record time. Pointing out that about 56 lakh acres of paddy was cultivated this summer, the minister said Telangana has risen to the level of feeding the nation.
