Auto manufacturing company General Motors is considering the idea of using OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT for vehicles. A company executive told news agency Reuters that the company is exploring alternatives as part of its wider cooperation with Microsoft Corporation.
“ChatGPT is going to be in everything,” GM vice president Scott Miller said in an interview last week.
Miller said the chatbot can be used to access information on how to use vehicle features typically found in owner’s manuals. chatgpt Programming tasks such as integrating garage door codes or schedules from a calendar can also help.
“This change is not just about a single capability, like the evolution of voice commands, but means that customers can expect their Future Vehicles need to be far more capable and fresher in terms of emerging technologies,” a GM spokesman said Friday.
