This unnamed woman has been praised by people on social media for her sweet gesture towards the animal. The video has been shared on DogExpress’s Facebook page and other platforms.

The woman picks up the curd rice from her bowl, makes small balls and feeds the white colored dog with her hands. The gesture of the dog thanking him is also captured beautifully.
One user commented, “Thank you ma’am, you are truly an example of love, care and compassion. Much respect for you.” Others posted emoji and GIFs saluting the woman.

Stray or feral dogs are those that have escaped or been abandoned by their owners, or have never been owned by them. They have to face daily difficulties to survive. But some people, like the woman in the video, make their lives easier by providing food, water or shelter.
Data from the Pet Homelessness Index for India in a report in 2021 showed that there are around 62 million stray dogs and 91 lakh street cats in India.
