Woman, her two sons stabbed to death in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur: Police

Coimbatore:

A 38-year-old woman and her two sons were found dead in their house in a suspected case of murder in Vavipalayam near Tiruppur district today.

According to the police, neighbors heard a loud scream from the house and saw a man running away with a knife. When they went inside, they saw Muthumari and her two younger sons – Dharneesh and Nitish – covered in blood and informed the police.

The police team that reached the spot saw that his body had been stabbed. The bodies have been sent to Tiruppur Government Hospital for post-mortem.

Raids are being conducted to arrest the culprit. Police said investigations are on to ascertain the identity of the man and whether he knew the family.

Preliminary investigation with the owner of the house revealed that a middle-aged man, a native of Tiruvarur, had brought Muthumari and his two sons to Tiruppur 15 days ago, and arranged for him a job in a knitwear company and often used to come home
