Woman Makes Halwa With Parle-G And Little Hearts Biscuits, Internet Calls It “Poison”

In the world of home cooking, people are discovering the delight of making snacks from everyday items. It is all about turning familiar ingredients into something special and tasty. However, not every culinary twist is met with the same level of enthusiasm. For instance, a video featuring a woman attempting to make halwa using our childhood favourites, Little Hearts and Parle-G biscuits, left the internet in disbelief. The woman took everyone by surprise as she emptied an entire pack of both the biscuits into a pan. She then added milk, stirring until it formed a thick paste that arguably barely qualifies as halwa. She sweetened the concoction with a small bowl of sugar, generously added two large tablespoons of ghee, and topped it off with a garnish of dried fruits and coconut.

Halwa is traditionally made with wheat or semolina, making her choice of ingredients even more puzzling. Adding to the perplexity, the lady talked about creating this unusual dish in memory of her late father-in-law, who had a sweet tooth so pronounced that he would refuse to eat anything unless it was sweet. As expected, the video got the attention of foodies, and they weren’t sure how to react. Some users joked about it. One user commented under the post, “Isko abhi bhi nahi samajh aaya ki father ji kyu nahi rahe (She still doesn’t understand why her father-in-law is no more).”

“Father in law isn’t dead/ he’s probably hiding from this food!” another comment read.

While someone commented that this was “poison.” 

One user offered a cautionary note, emphasising that the concerns go beyond the unusual recipe itself. They wrote, “You do not know what chemicals are in these packaged biscuits and what happens when you heat these on the stove top. Even the manufacturers wouldn’t recommend heating them to a pulp. This could be a carcinogenic bomb, and you wouldn’t even know.”
