She shared the entire incident on TikTok and now, the internet is applauding the woman for confronting the man. Whitney Sharp, a business executive, shared a video showing her on a Microsoft Teams call with three male clients of a salesperson eager to sell their software to her company, MindLance. However, while sharing the screen, one of the men uncovered group chats with his colleagues in which he made offensive comments about Whitney’s appearance.

The viral Tiktok video was also shared on Twitter by a news portal – Now This News. In the clip, Whitney is seen in an increasingly calm and composed manner, calling on male customers for “locker room talk”. She said, “First, if we continue to work together. I want to work with a female sales rep because I don’t want to see the locker-room talking about me when you’re sharing the screen.” So, if we’re going to move forward, I’d like to work with an account representative, who might be a woman in that field, so that we can move forward like that.”

Whitney said, “I know it was a mistake, but I don’t want to see the locker room talking about me.”

We can also hear a man apologizing for a silly thing. “This is an unforgivable mistake,” he said. Whitney also spoke about how she felt about the whole turn of events, “What was going through my mind is ‘keep calm, stay professional.’ It was like watching a football game and I was getting play-by-play.

In a follow-up video, which was captioned “How Not to Apologize in Corporate America 101,” Whitney shared a screenshot of an email she received from a client company’s vice president of sales, the New York Post reported. Although the VP said there was “no excuse” for the men’s lack of professionalism, he could not reassign her to a female sales representative because there were not “enough skilled” women in his organization to assist.

Giving her followers another update, Whitney revealed that she didn’t go through with the potential seller and called off their partnership. She mentioned that the VP of sales of the potential client company finally called her on the phone, not to apologize, but to do “damage control” and urge her to continue selling. But Whitney said she “cannot work with a vendor and my company will not support a vendor that does not support women in business,” reported the publication.

Whitney received a lot of love and support from her followers, who applauded her for taking a stand for herself.
