Women’s Day 2023: Only 10% of total mutual fund managers are women, says report

Despite a gradual increase in their number over the years, women account for only 10 per cent of the total fund managers in the mutual fund industry, said a report on Tuesday.

Morningstar Investment Advisors India’s annual report on women fund managers in the asset-management industry said that the total number of women fund managers has increased from 32 last year to 42 now.

Interestingly, the total number of fund managers also increased from 399 last year to 428 this year.

The Morningstar report, released ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, said, “When it comes to gender diversity, the latest findings from our report show that 42 out of 428 fund managers are women as primary or secondary managers.” managing.” ,
