World’s largest whiskey bottle to be auctioned in UK on May 25

The whiskey was matured in two sister casks at Macallan’s Speyside warehouse for 32 years. The liquid was bottled last year by Duncan Taylor Scotch Whiskey, a top independent whiskey bottling company. According to the auction house, the whiskey has a smooth texture, and the long, warming finish suggests a sweet overall flavor with some white pepper and a later French apple tart.

During this, Wales Online reported that to commemorate this momentous event, some special bottle sets were also prepared. These include a collection of 12 bottles, each filled with 32-year-old Macallan whiskey from the same cask used to fill the record-breaking bottle. Each bottle is a replica of the main bottle design and versions are dedicated to each explorer involved with the project.
