xpres: Tata Motors partners with Lithium Urban to deploy 5000 XPRES-T’ EVs – Times of India

Tata Motors announced on Monday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Lithium Urban TechnologiesAn EV-based urban transportation service provider to deploy electric sedans.
As part of the collaboration, Tata Motors will deploy 5000 Tata Express T EVs across the country for employee transportation. The company said deliveries will begin in phases and will complete deployment by next year.

Talking about Tata express T EV, Tata Motors launched the XPRES brand in July 2021 exclusively for fleet operators. Along with this, the Indian carmaker also showcased the Xpres-T Electric which is the first vehicle to join the Xpres range.

The Tata Xpress-T is available with two battery pack options, each of which is mated to a 72V 3-phase AC induction motor that produces 39bhp of power and 105Nm of torque. With the 16.5 kWh battery pack the Xpres-T offers a claimed range of 165 km/charge while the 21.5 kWh pack which offers a claimed range of 213 km/charge.
Tata Motors claims that the Xpres-T can be charged from 0-80% in 90 minutes and 110 minutes (16.5 kWh and 21.5 kWh respectively), using fast charging or normally with any 15-amp plug. Point can also be charged.

The Xpres-T EV gets an all-black theme, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, Harman sound system, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Eco and Sport driving modes, among others.
