Seeing the plight of the farmers, the Uttar Pradesh government has made a big announcement. The Uttar Pradesh government will buy potatoes at the rate of Rs 650 per quintal. In the first phase, instructions have been given to start marketing and purchase in Farrukhabad, Kaushambi, Unnao, Mainpuri, Etah, Kasganj and Bareilly ie seven anonymous potatoes.
