You can soon avail the services related to Aadhar card sitting at home. This way

Aadhaar-related services, such as linking your phone number with Aadhaar, updating other information, etc., can soon be done from the comfort of your home as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides door-to-door services. The waist is tightening. This means that you will not need to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra to avail these services.

UIDAI is currently training 48,000 India Post Payment Bank postmen. After training, they will bring Aadhaar services to your home.

According to the report, 1.5 lakh postal officers will be trained in 2 phases. Officials said, postmen are also trained to deliver identity cards to as many people as possible and enroll them in the Aadhaar programme, which is a part of UIDAI’s expansion plan.

UIDAI will equip postmen with suitable digital tools, including a desktop or laptop-based Aadhaar kit, to update the details of Aadhaar card holders or enroll children for the issue of Aadhaar numbers. “UIDAI is making all necessary preparations to guarantee smooth implementation of the strategy,” the officials said.

In addition, around 13,000 banking correspondents employed by the Common Service Center of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will also be nominated by UIDAI for the same.

UIDAI also plans to set up Aadhaar Seva Kendras in each of the 755 districts of the country so that all information can be updated at the earliest.
