“You might be in the wrong room”: Professor’s hilarious blunder leaves the Internet divided

A professor’s hilarious mistake has sent the internet into tizzy. Taking to Twitter, Professor Joseph Mullins shared how sad he felt when none of his students showed up for his class. “Today, no one turned up for my 8.15am class. There were about 40 students,” he wrote on the microblogging website. Mr. Mullins further explained that when he decided to write an email to his students and let them know that their feelings were hurt, the response he received made his sad situation laughable.

“Sitting in the empty room, I email them, trying to hide my hurt feelings. 2 minutes later, I get a reply:” Professor, we think you may be in the wrong room. Hole forever,” the professor’s tweet read.

In another post, Mr Mullin wrote, “My wife really wants me to mention that I was sleep deprived because I woke up at 4am to play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends in Australia.” He also joked that I definitely don’t have a chill reaction to the fact that his wife is “completely roasting me in every group chat.”

Mr Mullin shared about his hilarious mistake on Wednesday and his post has since gone viral. One of his students also replied to the tweet with a screenshot of the mail shared by the professor with his students.

Meanwhile, netizens flooded the comments section with varied reactions. Some even shared their hilarious experiences.

One user wrote, “If it makes you feel better one day my PI bragged about how none of his undergrad students showed up for their final exams, then it turned out they took the exam on the wrong day.” ” “It must have been my first or second AEA meetings. I was walking in the lobby and met Oliver Williamson, who was presiding over my session the next day. I said: “Hello Professor Williamson.” He replied: “Where are you? Were? We just had a session and waited for you for 15 minutes.” said another.
