A 21-year-old resident of Avadi died in an accident after his two-wheeler lost control and collided with a barricade while negotiating a speed breaker near Sirugumi Junction in Tiruttani on Saturday.
Tiruttani police said Kutty alias Anbu, a resident of Nagamani Nagar, was on his way to his grandmother’s house in Kumararajapettai, Pallipattu, in a two-wheeler. The motorist lost control of his vehicle while interacting with the speed breaker at high speed and fell down from the vehicle after hitting a concrete barricade, police said. The victim suffered head and face injuries due to not wearing a helmet. He died on the spot.
The body has been sent to Tiruttani Government Hospital for post-mortem.
