Zimbabwe President trolls Pakistan with ‘Fake Mr Bean’ meme after historic T20 World Cup win

The Internet remains undefeated. On any other day the President of a country won’t troll another country with Mr Bean memes after winning the T20 World Cup matches but cricket in itself works in a magical way. On Thursday night, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Mr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, returned from his more than a month-long Twitter hiatus and chose violence.

The President celebrated his country’s historic 1-run victory over Pakistan with a sarcasm in Perth on Thursday.

“What a win for Zimbabwe! Congratulations Chevron. Next time, send the real Mr. Bean… #PakvsZim,” posted the official Twitter account of the President of Zimbabwe.

Mr. Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s tweet mentioning “Mr. Bean” was an internet meme, a harmless jibe aimed directly at Pakistan, which have been in the news cycle for days now for all the wrong reasons.

A Twitter user named Ngugi Chasura broke the internet when he informed Cricket Twitter about “fraudulent” Pak Bean, a Pakistani doppelganger of the iconic character Mr Bean, who traveled to Zimbabwe in 2016.

A Pakistani comedian named Asif Muhammad, best known as the doppelganger of the famous character Mr. Bean, played by British acting legend Rowan Atkinson, went to Zimbabwe in 2016 for a comedy show pretending to be Mr. Bean.

Muhammad was reportedly invited to attend a comedy night, conduct a road show and be a part of the Harare agricultural show.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, Zimbabwe jumped to third place with three points to cut Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semi-finals in the marquee tournament.
