Audi Q7 facelift is set to go on sale in India on February 3, 2022. The Ingolstadt-based luxury carmaker is bringing its flagship SUV back to India after almost two years. The company temporarily discontinued the model in early 2020, just before the stringent BS6 emission norms came into force. However, now the Q7 is finally returning with a mid-life facelift and a petrol-only drivetrain. We already have the 2022 Audi Q7 and we have told you about it in our detailed review, which you can find on the carbike website. So, the pricing of the updated Q7 remains to be known. And here’s what we think about it.

2022 Audi Q7 It will be offered in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. It comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit and will be produced at the manufacturing facility of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd (SAVWIPL) in Aurangabad. This means that the company will be price-aggressive. Now, it will be less expensive than the Audi Q8, and we are confident that the company will offer the Q7 at a starting price of less than ₹ 1 crore. Hence, we would expect the 2022 Audi Q7 to be launched in India between ₹ 95 Lakh to ₹ 1.10 Crore (ex-showroom, India).

The Audi Q7 comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit and is produced at the company’s Aurangabad plant.

Visually, the 2022 Audi Q7 comes with sharp styling updates along with the new-gen Audi cars. Up front, the SUV gets a large single-frame octagonal grille with chrome borders and vertical slats. The grille is surrounded by full LED headlights, however, customers are also likely to get an option to go for HD Matrix LED technology along with Audi laser lights. The SUV also gets bigger intakes, new alloy wheels, new sleek LED taillights and a revised rear bumper.

The SUV also gets a new steering wheel and premium upholstery, which comes along with a host of other comfortable features

Inside, the Q7 gets an updated cabin, with two new larger touchscreens that provide haptic and acoustic feedback when clicked with tactile controls. The system comes with LTE advanced connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot, natural voice control and an extensive Audi Connect portfolio. Also new is Alexa, a cloud-based Amazon voice service integrated into the MMI operating system, while an Audi virtual cockpit with optional heads-up display is also on offer. The SUV also gets a new steering wheel and premium upholstery along with a host of other comfortable features.

The Q7 comes with a 3.0-litre TFSI, six-cylinder petrol engine that makes 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque.

The Q7 facelift is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI, six-cylinder petrol engine that makes 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque, and comes mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox and quattro AWD system as standard. Like the new Q5, the Q7 will get a mild-hybrid system, with a 48-volt electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery and a Belt Alternator Starter (BAS). The SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in less than 5.9 seconds.
