exterior styling
While the Venue retains its original silhouette, Hyundai has brought in some styling details in line with its latest global SUV line-up. Up front, the most noticeable change is the new ‘parametric jewel grille’ with chrome inserts and a dark surround. The unit matches well with the high-set cluster which houses the parking lights and indicators. The main headlamp unit sits down on the bumper and has integrated day running elements. The front bumper is also new and gets a rectangular blacked-out section below the central air-dam. A faux skid plate element completes the look. The down sides have been slightly modified for the new design of alloy wheels. The most noticeable change at the rear is the rear lights which have now become larger, are joined by an LED lightbar and have separate dash-like electrical elements. The rear bumper is also new and gets a prominent blacked-out section and faux skid plate.

internal updates
The cabin still retains the same dashboard design, though the biggest change is the move away from the all-black interior of the outgoing car. The lower dashboard is now finished in a light beige color like the seats. Fabric upholstery still remains standard, with only the top-spec model offering a mix of fabric and leather upholstery. The cabin also gets new ambient lighting and power adjustability for the driver seat – 4-way only adjustable, and a two-step recline function for the rear seat backrest.
Variants, Engine and Gearbox
The new Venue is available in a total of six variants – E, S, S+, S(O), SX and SX(O). The base E and S variants are only available with the familiar 82 bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine. The S+ is fully available with a 98 bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine, while the S(O) is available with either a naturally aspirated petrol or a 118 bhp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The SX variant is only available with 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel engines while the fully loaded SX(O) is available only with turbo-petrol and diesel.
