2023 Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid MPV tested on Indian roads: Everything you need to know – Times of India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is working on introducing a new hybrid version of its Innova Crysta The MPV will soon hit the Indian market, and the car has now been caught testing in the country ahead of its official debut. Toyota is yet to confirm the news, and the MPV is covered entirely in camouflage.

The prototype features an upright design with strong character lines and a shape on the boxier side. The car gets a redesigned wraparound taillights and a new set of alloy wheels. The front-end will also be redesigned, with a new bumper with a bigger grille, as well as new headlamps that will make the Innova Hycross sharper and more modern.
While the Innova Crysta sits on a ladder-frame platform with a rear-wheel drive configuration, the Innova Hycross is expected to be based on a front-wheel drive monocoque chassis, which will help improve its road manners. Apart from the updated design, Toyota may also offer a hybrid MPV with some new features.

The new Toyota Innova Hycross is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year, most probably at the 2023 Auto Expo to be held in January. Talking about the price, the price of Innova Hycross will be slightly higher than the currently sold Innova Crysta. For reference, the Toyota Innova Crysta price ranges from Rs 18.09 Lakh to Rs 23.83 Lakh (ex-showroom).
