“Life’s Lesson”: Polar Bear Slides Over Ice Sheet to Avoid Breaking It

The video has been shared by IAS officer Supriya Sahu on Twitter.

New Delhi:

Video of a polar bear crossing the ice sheet is the latest source of life lessons on the Internet. What makes this video different is that instead of walking around, the polar bear lies down and slams its way across the ice sheet, using its forelimbs to move.

“How to navigate the ice sheet without breaking it – exactly like that for life. Life lessons from a polar bear,” read the caption of the video shared on Twitter by Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Supriya Sahu.

The clip garnered fascinating reactions on the stage. Many shed light on how the polar bear made sure not to break the ice sheet by sliding instead of walking.

“The entire scientific fund has been set up by the Polar Bear. When standing, the bear’s weight is concentrated over a small area, but when lying flat, the weight is distributed over an area equal to the surface area of the bear’s body,” explained one user.

Almost everyone called the animal “intelligent”.

Another person wrote, “They are smarter than us when it comes to managing life’s chores for survival. We can only be good for the materialistic world.”

This user appreciated the life lessons taken from the clip.

Some even wondered how the polar bear could cross the ice sheet without breaking it.

“Increase the surface area of the contact and distribute all the pressure so that there is a very small force acting on the sub square inch. Who taught that?” wrote a user.

One user said that “no one teaches them; Nature teaches them how to survive in extreme conditions.”

So, wasn’t that inspiring?
