32-year-old woman was beaten to death for dowry, FIR against 6 including husband Agra News – Times of India

AGRA: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly lynched by her husband and in-laws for not fulfilling dowry demands in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad district.
Officials said that the incident took place on Friday in village Nihalpur of Makhanpur police station area. Later in the evening of the same day, the victim’s body was found burning in a field outside the village.

Vinita’s father Rajesh Kumar “We have fulfilled all the demands of our daughter’s in-laws. I had spent more than 10 lakh rupees in his marriage. However, soon after the marriage Avinash and his family members started pressurizing my daughter for dowry. He often used to beat her for demanding the car. I had asked my daughter for a divorce, but she refused considering the future of her six-year-old son. Avinash called and informed me about my daughter’s murder over the phone. I want justice for my daughter.”
Makhanpur police station in-charge Mahesh Kumar He said that based on the complaint of the victim’s father, an FIR has been registered against the victim’s husband and five members of his family.
He said, “An FIR has been registered against the husband of the victim and five members of his family. The victim’s family alleges that in the past also her husband had beaten her up. It seems that the murder was not pre-planned as the entire family is absconding. We are working on important clues. Soon all the accused will be arrested.”
Meanwhile, the police have sent the burnt body of the victim for post-mortem and officials said that a search is on for the absconding accused. news network
