4-year-old boy publishes a book, sets Guinness World Record

A four-year-old boy from the United Arab Emirates broke the record for being the youngest person (male) to publish a book, proving that age should not be a barrier to achievement.

According to Guinness World RecordsAt 4 years and 218 days old, Abu Dhabi teen Saeed Rashid Al Maheri is the youngest person in the world to publish a book.

“His record was confirmed on March 9, 2023, when he sold more than 1,000 copies of his children’s book, The Elephant Said and the Bear. It’s a story of kindness and an unlikely friendship between two animals.”

But, Saeed is not the only one breaking records in the family; In fact, her older sister Aldhabi served as the inspiration for her book.

According to Khaleej Times, Her biggest supporter and mentor has been her 8-year-old older sister, Aldhabi, who holds the record for being the youngest person to publish a bilingual book series (female). Earlier, she also held the record of being the youngest person to publish a bilingual book (female). An ideator and innovator, AlDhabi is one of the country’s youngest entrepreneurs and runs Rainbow Chimney Educational Aids, a local publishing house.

“I love my sister very much, and I enjoy playing with her all the time. We read, write, draw and do many other activities together. I wrote my book [inspired by her] As I thought I might as well have my own book,” said Saeed Rashid Al Mihiri GWR.

“It’s about the elephant Saeed and a polar bear. The elephant had a picnic and saw a polar bear. He thought the bear was going to eat him, but in the end, the elephant took pity and said, ‘Let’s have a Picnic together’! Then they become friends and show kindness to each other,” Saeed continued, outlining the story of their work.
