A 70-year-old woman was killed by a pack of monkeys at her house in Ramareddy mandal headquarter village of Kamareddy district.
The Chatraboina Narsawa woman was washing dishes when about twenty monkeys pounced on her on Friday and attacked her on the chest, back and limbs. She was all alone in the house. He died in the hospital on Saturday.
Sources said that horrified neighbors made no effort to go to her rescue even after she shouted for help. They locked themselves inside their houses till the monkeys ran away.
Narasava lived in the house with her youngest daughter, Suguna, but later went to a wedding in Kamareddy. Sugna returned twenty minutes later and took her mother to the hospital in a critical condition, but to no avail.
