‘Abe killed by ex-soldier…’ TMC likens Shinzo’s killing to Agneepath

The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress has cautioned the central government against the Agneepath plan, pointing to the fact that former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was assassinated by an ex-serviceman.

TMC Said the killing underscores the potential pitfalls of the controversial defense recruitment scheme.

The state BJP, however, dismissed the apprehension saying that no Indian ex-serviceman has been involved in any such incident.

“Abe’s death at the hands of a former soldier has only validated people’s fears about the Agneepath plan,” TMCThe mouthpiece of ‘Jago Bangla’ (Wake Up, Bengal) said in an article on Saturday.

It claimed that the attacker lost his job in the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force after serving three years and was not receiving any pension.

The article states that even firefighters will not get any pension after the end of their four-year service period.

Attacking the TMC, the BJP said that the party is instigating people without any solid logic. State BJP spokesperson Samik Samik Bhattacharya said, “We have never heard of any incident in which an ex-serviceman of our country is involved. TMC is only trying to politicize the matter.”

Besides this, Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana also asked the Center to address the issues of unemployment and inflation in the country, adding that India should learn from Japan and Sri Lanka.

In the editorial of Saamana, Shiv Sena said, “India needs to take the incident of Sri Lanka and Japan seriously. It is wrong to compare the situation in Sri Lanka with our country but has become an LPG cylinder. 1,052. Ujjwala beneficiaries will also have to give 853 per cylinder and this amount is not cheap for the poor. Rupee has fallen 80″ against the dollar.

“BJP came to power in the country by making people dream of cheap and achche din. LPG prices have gone up eight times last year. Inflation has broken the back of common people… People’s jobs are being snatched away,” it couple.

The editorial also highlighted that many national issues have not been given any attention, but crores of rupees are reportedly being spent to topple opposition governments.

Cautioning the Center of the consequences, he said, “There is tide in the sea, ships hit rocks, our country has survived in such storms, the credit has to be given to the harmony and restraint of the people, but if the people are hungry then claim power.” Will do. That’s what history says. The people of Sri Lanka did the same. The mentality of the people of the world is no different. The throne is not immortal.”
