Season 2 of Telugu web series ‘Loser’ will explore what a player has to do to maintain a successful position, says director Abhilash Reddy

Abhilash, who wrote the sports drama with Shravan Madala and Sai Bhardwaj, promised that season 2 will be bigger and better: “The response to the first season gave me a lot of confidence and this time we had a better budget. The actors who were already on board knew their characters and were used to the game, which made it easy. The newcomers from this season, like Dhanya Balakrishna and Harshit, knew the scope of the series and it was easy for me to win their trust. ,
Loser 2 went on floors in August 2021, shortly after the second wave of COVID-19, with the team determined to complete filming as soon as possible.
Priyadarshi refreshed her air rifle training, while Kalpika trained in badminton for four to five months: “We trace Ruby’s journey from a young age to the present. Shashank’s character from the first season showed his temper issues. The new season brings to the fore the possibility of his son, played by Harshit, playing cricket. Abhilash reveals, “He too has a problem with anger.” Harshit took bowling training before the start of the series.

The story begins a few months after the first season. This version will not travel between the three time periods. “Last time, we shot certain parts in CinemaScope using an anamorphic lens. Since we had already established the visual tone for today’s story, we didn’t want to change anything. Cinematographer Naresh Ramadurai has used various lighting techniques to bring out the drama. Visually, this season will be better.”
Abhilash was helped by his colleague Shravan to direct Season 2. Season 3, which will be the finale, is also in the works.
Abhilash will soon start working on a new web series for UV Creations and is set to direct his feature film this summer, which he describes as a father-son drama that follows a road trip. is exposed.
The emergence of digital platforms during the pandemic, explains Abhilash, has worked to the benefit of budding directors like him: “If not for the increased focus on digital platforms, I am not sure I would have had so many good opportunities during the pandemic.
