After Dosa, British High Commissioner Raises Hands On Mumbai’s Vada Pavdi

There is a huge fan of Indian cuisine all over the world. Foreigners as well as Indians living abroad enjoy the delectable cuisine of the subcontinent. Many people come to India to discover the food and get the authentic taste that our country has to offer. Recently, the British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis took to social media when he tried some of the local flavors of India, and it was none other than a delicious Vada Pav! The diplomat shared a picture on his Twitter and wrote, “There is always time to vadapav in Mumbai.” The tweet has garnered 21.3K likes and many comments since it was posted. Have a look:

Ellis was seen exploring Maharashtra during a meeting with important state leaders, including the Chief Minister. He tried Mumbai’s iconic street food after getting into the festive mood by visiting a Ganpati workshop before Ganesh Chaturthi.

And not only this, earlier Ellis was also seen indulging in a delicious plate of dosa and sambar during a trip to Bengaluru. As he shared the photo on Twitter, he wrote, “Delicious #MysuruMasalaDosa!! A great way to start my first trip to #Bengaluru” After his post, several Twitter users pointed out that he should be eating dosa with his hands, Rather than a knife and fork, which led Alex to an opinion poll on whether he should take his next dosa with his hands or forks!

The poll had 2.5K votes, out of which 92% asked him to drink dosa with his hands. Have a look:

Apart from enjoying the street food and getting into the celebratory mood, Ellis also met the famous dabbawalas of Mumbai. He said that he is overjoyed to receive the classic tiffin box as a gift and shared a picture with the famous delivery staff of the city.
