Volkswagen is open to partnerships with other car manufacturers to develop software, chief executive Herbert Diess told Der Spiegel.

Diess told the German weekly that autonomous driving requires a one-time high cost of operating system and software development, making it important to fit as many vehicles as possible with the technology.
