New Delhi: Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh On Tuesday denied the former president of Congress Rahul Gandhi On the improvement of the center of Jallianwala Bagh Memorial.
Amarinder Singh said on the reform, “I don’t know what has been dropped. It looks great to me,” Rahul Gandhi had slammed the Center over the move.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had termed the government’s reconstruction of the Jallianwala Bagh memorial as an “insult to martyrs”, adding that only a person who does not know the meaning of martyrdom can do such an insult.
The former Congress president tagged a media report on Twitter that sparked outrage on social media over the alleged change Jallianwala Bagh Memorial Complex Many claimed that it was “destroying history” in the name of change.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated the renovated complex of Jallianwala Bagh Memorial to the nation.
During the program, Modi also digitally inaugurated the museum galleries at the memorial. The event also showcased several development initiatives taken by the government for upgradation of the campus.
