Amazon rolls out major updates for Kindle devices – Times of India

What new feature will the update bring?
Amazon has revealed that the upcoming update will bring an easier and more intuitive way to navigate Kindle devices. With the update, users will be able to perform tasks like adjusting the brightness of the device, turning on airplane mode, and go to all the settings with a simple swipe down from the top of the screen.
It will also add new bottom navigation to Kindle devices. Using this, Kindle owners will be able to easily switch between Home and Library or Current Book.
Which devices will be eligible for this update?
As reported by Amazon, Kindle (8th generation and up), Kindle Paperwhite (7th generation and up) and Kindle Oasis devices will be eligible for the update. It will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
Another update coming later this year
In addition to the update coming next week, Amazon has also announced that it will bring another software update to Kindle devices later this year. The update will introduce an improved home and library experience for the devices.
Users will see a new filter and will be able to sort the menus in the library settings. It will introduce a new collection view and an interactive scroll bar for the Kindle e-reader. In addition, users will be able to access up to 20 of their recently read books with a left swipe on Home.
Amazon has added new features to Kindle devices over the years. More recently, it includes features such as faster downloads and the ability to set a book’s cover page as a screensaver for devices with no ads.
