Amit Shah inaugurates National Cyber ​​Forensic Lab at CFSL campus in Hyderabad

Hoping to fast-track cyber crime cases in India, the National Cyber ​​Forensic Laboratory (NCFL) was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory Complex in Hyderabad.

Shah also tweeted about the inauguration ceremony and said he would address a public meeting at Tukkuguda, a municipality in Rangareddy district of Telangana.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in December last year had given its approval for setting up of NCFL for evidence purposes at CFSL, Hyderabad. On 22 March, Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra told the Lok Sabha in a written reply: “There are seven CFSLs in the country with dedicated facilities for electronic forensics, including computer and cyber forensics. A state-of-the-art NCFL has been set up at Saipad, Dwarka, New Delhi to provide early stage cyber forensic support to Investigating Officers (IOs) of State/UT Police.

“As per further information available, Cyber ​​Forensic-cum-Training Laboratories have been made operational in 28 States/UTs, namely, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram. has been done. , Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Punjab, Assam, Tripura, Puducherry, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and West Bengal,” the minister said. . in the statement.
