Anantapur Tourism Office will start package tour to Tirumala

Anantapur Regional Office of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department will soon launch package tour tickets for Lord Venkateswara Darshan in Tirumala, District Tourism Officer (DTO) G Nageswara Reddy said.

Talking to media persons here, the DTO said that more details will be given once the tour package is officially launched.

The package, which is likely to cost ₹1,200 per person, will have a darshan ticket of ₹300, accommodation for a day, transportation from Tirupati to Tirumala, food and return to Tirupati. Tickets have to be booked 7 days in advance at Anantapur, Kurnool or Cuddapah offices.

The DTO said the department is also in talks with the APSRTC to develop other tourism circuits in Kurnool, Anantapur and Cuddapah districts, including Lord Hanuman temples at Kasapuram, Namakkal and Murudi, local tourism and religious centers at Tadipatri, Lepakshi and Hemavati temples. locations are included. , and the forts of Gooty and Penukonda.

Meanwhile, Anantapur MP Talari Rangiya on Monday inaugurated the office of Regional Director of Anantapur Region Tourism Department M. Ramachandra and District Tourism Officers. The MP said that roadside facilities would be developed at many tourist places in the region.

The DTO said the tourism department, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India and the state archeology department, will endeavor to obtain permanent UNESCO recognition for the Lepakshi Veerabhadra temple within the next two years as it has already been included in the tentative list.

Ropeway to Penukonda Hill Top

The DTO said a ropeway has been approved for the Penukonda hill top, while another effort is being made for the Gooty fort.

The DTO said that about 60% of the department’s land, which was being encroached upon, has been secured by recording it in the records of the revenue department, and the remaining 40% will also be protected soon. The Marur toll plaza on NH-44 and the restaurant at Kodikonda will be revived soon, for which tenders have been called.
